Giving Thanks

Hello my Lovelies.

I would like to thank God for your life. I thank Him for allowing you be alive to even read this blog post. I also thank Him for his Grace and Mercies in your life. I pray you have a wonderful week.
So today I would like to talk about Giving thanks. The Bible says in 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”

I really believe that sometimes it’s really hard to Give thanks to God; not because we don’t want to but because we aren’t conscious of him in our day to day lives. Take me for instance : In the mornings, I try to read my Bible before stepping out of my bed and beginning my day. Now if someone annoys me , I get so frustrated that that person has ruined my good morning vibe  so instead of thanking God that I am even alive to be angered by someone else who is alive too, what usually happens is I see it as the devil trying to kill my vibe and in my head I’m like “Not me today Satan, not me!”

We need to ask God to help us be conscious of Him in our day to day lives; In EVERY thing that we do because it is only by His Grace and Mercies that you even woke up today to brush your teeth only to discover your toothpaste just run out. For it is only by His Grace and Mercies that you have legs to run with to that convenience store to pick up extra milk with money.  And it is only by his Grace and Mercies that you woke up late today. Yo! You are alive. Every morning you wake up, thank Him that you are alive and know that He is not finished with you.

We need to always rejoice. This could honestly be really difficult because there are some situations which are so negative  that it is usually hard to find the positive in it, but always keep this scripture in mind John 10:10  The devil comes to steal kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”  Any situation that “steals” your joy, “kills” your happiness and “destroys” your peace is not from God. God is only allowing that situation to happen to shape you further to take you into the next level of your life. Don’t entertain the devils tricks and dwell in such situations. Instead rejoice and give thanks because you know that God is always looking out for you.

I really hope this has encouraged you and I pray and ask God to give you strength and wisdom to endure in any situation that seems difficult in your eyes. Always remember Matthew 19:26– Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God all things are possible.” So I would like you to believe in God’s word and face everyday with Faith given to you from Him.
